Immigrated to the United State from a small twin-island country at the age of 18. I served in the United States Army for 8 years where I traveled the world leaving the army as a wounded warrior and combat veteran. I have been an educator for 14 years with the majority of my time spent in self-contained alternative diverse learning classroom in a contracted alternative school through Milwaukee Public School (MPS). I was the former Vice Principal/Instructional Lead  Chatham Academy Charter High School. As we see the changes our country and the world are experiencing, education and the relationships that we build with our students are changing also.
